The NSCU Squamish Test of Metal cross-country mountain bike race is many things to many people.

On paper it’s a 67-kilometre course with over 1,200 meters of climbing and 35 kilometers of single-track.

Join us for books, songs and a craft to celebrate Aboriginal Day.  Children aged 3 – 5 with a caregiver.

Registration takes place at the NEW Pemberton Community Centre at 08:00 with the run starting at 08:30. This is A fairly flat 7 km run with a combination of pavement and sandy trails, not to mention a couple of fences, just to keep things interesting - what better way to celebrate Canada Day! Cost: $10/adult; $5/child or $20 family.

Celebrate Canada Day with the Whistler community at the annual Canada Day Parade. This year, the parade's theme is "Sport, Culture and Sustainability—Whistler-Style", and is the first time the event will be completely non-motorized. The parade begins at noon at the Whistler Public Library, then winds its way along the Village Stroll to end at Mountain Square.

Come check out the Whistler Doggy Wash hosted by WAG - Whistler Animals Galore on Saturday July 18, 2009 from 11AM - 3PM at the Whistler Village Fire Hall.

This 2 hour workshop is open to musicians and non-musicians regardless of their experience.  We will explore the building blocks of music rhythm, melody and harmony and examine  how they intertwine to create great music of any style. We'll discuss notes, scales, keys,  chords, rhythm, groove and other musical concepts in language that everyone can  understand.

Whistler Street Entertainment presents free, family-friendly events, attractions and performers every weekend from May through September. Whistler Street Entertainment animates the paths of Whistler Village and provides interactive entertainment by performers from the Sea-to-Sky Corridor and touring artists from across Canada.

The Whistler Art Workshops on the Lake features two to four day workshops from beginner to intermediate level instruction in oil, acrylic and watercolour painting, sketching and life drawing.

The last two wed in the months of June, July and August.

Come to the lake at 5 for fun on the water then a race around the lake from 6-7pm.

$12 includes two hours with the boat and instruction with games and refreshments.

Lunafliks presented by Sharp's Audio-Visual .Lost Lake Park  FREE Shuttle service is provided from the gondolas, 8:30-9:30PM and after film ends

The Disc Golf Club and Katmandu are putting on the first annual "Par None Disc Golf Tournament" at the Powerline course on Saturday, Aug. 29. There will be three divisions:

You can ride the approximately 80 km direct or do a detour up the Pemberton Meadows and back for a ride of approximately 120 km. There will be a BBQ at 3 pm so your ride choice should keep this time in mind.
