Come check out the Whistler Doggy Wash hosted by WAG - Whistler Animals Galore on Saturday July 18, 2009 from 11AM - 3PM at the Whistler Village Fire Hall.

This 2 hour workshop is open to musicians and non-musicians regardless of their experience.  We will explore the building blocks of music rhythm, melody and harmony and examine  how they intertwine to create great music of any style. We'll discuss notes, scales, keys,  chords, rhythm, groove and other musical concepts in language that everyone can  understand.

Whistler Street Entertainment presents free, family-friendly events, attractions and performers every weekend from May through September. Whistler Street Entertainment animates the paths of Whistler Village and provides interactive entertainment by performers from the Sea-to-Sky Corridor and touring artists from across Canada.

July 18 - time in 3:00 pm

This 1/3 mile Clay oval is nestled in the Mountians of the Soo Valley, between Whistler and Pemberton, BC, Canada. We run Hobby Stock, Bomber stock and Hornet class cars.

Saturday 18, July is the annual worldwide PhotoWalk in Whistler hosted by local photographer Matt Walker.

Barrel racing will have a big presence in the corridor this summer as Mount Currie's Lillooet lake Rodeo Arena prepares to host a summer series of weekend events sanctioned by the British Columbia Barrel Racers Association (BCBRA).

Saturday the fun starts at 1 pm in Village Square and carries on through the day with music in the Town Plaza, a magic show in the Village Common at 2:30 pm, Dog entertainer in the Mountain Square at 3pm, more magic in Mountain Square at 6:30 pm

Join us this summer to celebrate the 52nd Anniversary of the Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival from Friday, July 31st to Sunday, August 2nd, 2009.

Squamish Days Logger Sports Festival is a weekend full of excitement, fun and action aimed to make every member of the family smile. There are music events, children's activities, a parade, wacky bed races, a 10 km run, pancake breakfast and two world class Loggers Sports Shows with competitors from all around the world.

Saturday the fun starts at 1 pm in Village Square and carries on through the day with music in the Town Plaza, a magic show in the Village Common at 2:30 pm, Dog entertainer in the Mountain Square at 3pm, more magic in Mountain Square at 6:30 pm

Sunday it's music and face painting and balloon twisting and more magic all day starting at 1 pm.

Join weaver and workshop instructor Melvin Williams for a three hour workshop where you will learn about the practice of cedar weaving and create your own basket.

Workshop includes a video about harvesting cedar bark and Williams will talk about his weaving background and show samples of his work.

This session, taught by Melvin Williams, an accomplished Li'wat Nation cedar weaver, will give you the opportunity to learn about traditional uses of cedar and create your own weaving. Fees include all of the supplies required to complete the project.

This now-famous course starts at the Cheakamus Lake parking lot, climbs up Helm Creek, traverses the cinder flats towards Taylor Meadows - Garibaldi Lake and then drops to the Garibaldi/Rubble Creek parking lot. Sounds easy? Consider the grueling 2500 ft elevation gain followed by a 3500 ft drop!

A free flu shot drop-in clinic for seniors will take place at the Pemberton Seniors Villa. The shots are for people who are 65 or older. Note that this clinic is for the regular flu shot, not the H1N1
