Whistler Arts Council and Whistler Real Estate Company present the 6th annual ArtWalk running from July 1 to August 31, 2009, featuring Sea-to-Sky Corridor artists in host galleries throughout Whistler Village. The event connects the arts with the tourism and business sector.

The Whistler Art Workshops on the Lake features two to four day workshops from beginner to intermediate level instruction in oil, acrylic and watercolour painting, sketching and life drawing.

The Sea to Sky Junior Golf Championship is a 54-hole stroke play gross competition. Please register early. The field size is limited. Entries accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Open to boys and girls 10 –18 yrs of age.

The last two wed in the months of June, July and August.

Come to the lake at 5 for fun on the water then a race around the lake from 6-7pm.

$12 includes two hours with the boat and instruction with games and refreshments.

In these Free, fun and interactive days, children will learn about Pacific Salmon, their habitat  and their role in the ecosystem. This is a great opportunity to engage in activities while  exploring the natural environment at One Mile Lake!

Aug 9th is the leg burner, lung bustin' 46+ km course you have all come to love. or hate. But since you now have an extra 3 months to train, don't be surprised with a few new additions. Rod didn't get his nickname "Sadistic little B@$^#& for nothing! The race will be capped again at 300 riders. Minimum age for this course is 15 and only the marathon loop will be offered.

Join weaver and workshop instructor Melvin Williams for a three hour workshop where you will learn about the practice of cedar weaving and create your own basket.

Workshop includes a video about harvesting cedar bark and Williams will talk about his weaving background and show samples of his work.
