The Olympic Torch Relay Community Celebration will take place one week before the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games and will launch Whistler's Games season as we do our final preparations to welcome the world as Host Mountain Resort for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Tommy Africa's. 9:00 pm - 2:00 am. Inviting all Kiwis, Aussies, Brits, Canucks, South Africans, Irish and any other Whistler inhabitants.
Line the streets and watch the Olympic Torch as it is carried through downtown Pemberton and heads towards Mt. Currie. Be there early as the torch comes through town 8 am and stays only 23 mintues. This will be followed by a full day of fammily activities. See below.
The fun is set to start when the Lil'wat Nation will throw a party to welcome the torch and simultaneously celebrate the grand opening of their new community complex, starting at 8:00 am.
Every time the Canucks play an original six team the BrewHouse is having a pub party. Specials, prizes, giveaways plus a chance to win 2 tickets to the last Canuck game. An original six jersey given away every game.

Community Open House - Celebrate the Torch Relay and the Library's new look. The Whistler Canada Olympic House will be open to the community to check out programming, meet athletes and get a feel for the new facility.
Whistler Blackcomb turns up the heat every Sunday night with the 7-Eleven Fire & Ice Show at 6:30pm at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola. Fire spinners, fire works and Ski and Snowboard school's hottest pros throwing down big air through a ring of fire makes this event a family-friendly must do. Maybe transportation issues, the lack of parking, and blatant over policing didn't let whistler go off the way Vancouver did; but we still threw some epic parties! Every chairlift ride up the mountain is the start of an adventure - some rides are all the more memorable because of who shares the lift up the mountain. That's the basis for the Chairlift Review: a collection of one-act live Whistler stories featuring a colourful cast of characters who share stories from the chairlift, interact with passers-by, and improvise outdoor theatre skits.

Park Rider Sessions presented by TELUS featuring Slopestyle, Rail Jams and Halfpipe will take place on both mountains utilizing the best terrain available. Competitions open to skiers and snowboarders, all ages welcome. Helmets mandatory
Come out and take part in this annual spring ritual. Registration 9:30 am, run starts 10:00 am. Entry $15, proceeds to the Pemberton Search and rescue.
Registration and start line are at the four corners intersection of Reid Road and Ivey Lake Road. Runners and walkers are welcome. Approximately 10 k, quite hilly with sections that have loose rock.
