Some 30 scientists wll be in Whistler to join locals in a round-the-clock effort to identify as many species as possible in a 24-hour period.

BioBlitz scientists target alpine and valley ecosystems across Whistler, with public events for all ages at Alpha Lake Park where people can see, touch and learn about what the scientists have found.

Saturday, August 8 The BioBlitz Sqamp Monster Scavenger Hunt 2:30 pm Presented as part of the Aeare's Kids Nature Club an opportunity for kids aged 6-12 to experience nature in a fun and interactive setting.

Saturday night, Night Critters, presents an up-close and personal experience with bats, owls, insects, and other nocturnal creatures. Starts 7:30 pm an dcontinues on into the night. Night Critters is a part of the Whistler Museum Speaker Series.
