La Terra Xterra Canadian National Championships
2131 Lake Placid Road to register. Race is from 9 am - 2 pm, Alta Lake
La Terra Ventures Inc. presents the Xterra Canadian National Championships in Whistler. Racers swim in Alta Lake, doing laps of 750 metres in length with a short beach run between each, then do a mountain bike race on single track and climbs. $15 fee for insurance.

The Whistler Way Commuter Challenge is a two-week, friendly, fun competition among participating businesses and organizations with the goal of reducing single passenger vehicle trips.
Toonie Rides
The Toonie part of the name change is simple. The rides cost $2 with half of your entry fee will going into WORCA’s trail maintenance fund, and the other half into a pot for the top riders — usually locals who are training for the nationals or even the World Cup, so they can use every cent they get.
